The Farm Policy Journal, published by the Australian Farm Institute, is a quarterly publication that brings together research, expert commentary and policy analysis on issues shaping Australian agriculture. Each issue explores a central theme, such as climate change, farm management, water policy or future agricultural systems, and features contributions from researchers, industry leaders and policy specialists.

My role is to design and produce the journal, transforming detailed academic and policy-focused content into a structured, engaging publication. The design approach balances professionalism with readability, using a clear typographic hierarchy, considered page layouts and supporting visual elements to help guide readers through complex ideas and long-form articles. Careful attention to spacing, imagery and graphic devices ensures the publication feels accessible while maintaining the authority expected of a policy journal. The result is a polished and cohesive publication that supports the Institute’s role as a leading voice in Australia’s agricultural policy conversation.
